Run test set with Fritz 11

Post by Patatov »

Hello,

I got all my test sets in epd format... Does anyone know if there is a way to run an automatic test set with Fritz 11 using epd files? (seems that epd format is not supported for test sets and only cbh files can be opened).
If not, then is there a way to convert an epd file into cbh?

Thanks

Assuming that it still works like in Fritz 8:

1. Press F12 for the database screen.
2. File/New/Database... create a new CBH database
3. Edit/Append EPD...

If your EPD strings contain the solution moves each, they will be added to the CBH automatically (both bm or am are supported).

In the process test set function, the max. value for Extra Ply was 5 in Fritz 8, although higher values could be typed in and were accepted by the dialogue box. But AFAIK internally, it would only use max. 5. I don't know if that has been changed with more recent Fritz versions.
