I have been asked in the past, by those who are considering a chess program or programming in general, about how i got my start in programming. Prior to starting pulsar, www.adam16mr.org/pulsar.html in fall of 1998, I wrote a ball and paddle game that I distributed as shareware, something i did with no internet by sending 20 bucks to a group that uploaded shareware programs to numerous bulletion boards and other channels, I received proof that they did what they said they would do, when i got a check in teh mail for 10 bucks from someone asking for the full copy, all 24 levels, the freware version had 4 levels. this person received the final version, no one else did, and it was much improved from the freeware i released in 1995. Well here is the link to both the program, which seems to run ok on most windows machines, havent tried vista, and the story.
