I have chessbase, fritz, arena, chessmaster, etc, but do not know how to import this book. How is it done? (and hopefully, how is it converted to a series of pgn that can be viewed by chessbase and other programs)

Hi Joseph.
Binary format no view, only play.
a) Choose engine (Fruit, Toga, Glaurung etc.), options -> name binary books (glaurung rename "player".bin to book.bin)
CB and Shredder import only *.bok (Genius), *.mvs (Rebel, old format), *.opk (CM), *.fbk (Fritz, old), probably *.hbk (Hiarcs, old). Also will new import *.bin and *.scb ...
Chessmaster not know, there only play from personalities.
Arena use own format *.abk, import other no support (as far I know), but option using own book (menu engine).

Ctg tree create itself, new book and import games.
