FCP Opening Book 1.00 available ... first result ready now!

FCP Opening Book 1.00 ready ...

+++
Available for Shredder Classic GUI only
+++

After I am working around one year on the "Priorities" for my FCP Live Book the final result with the Shredder Classic GUI option "Weed Opening Book" should be ready in version 1.0.

Moves with priorities only are included (a, b, c, d, e, f, g).
My new FCP Opening Book 1.00 have 4.7Mb only and 64.196 moves included. A hard work to set so many priorities by hand.

I created:
- wide and balanced opening book for eng-eng matches or for people in working on a rating list.
- around the same ECO distribution compare to GM theory.
- book is optimated with the strongest 40 available engines and around 267.000 official available SWCR1, SWCR2, FCP games.
- I used: International Opening Keys by Seriu Samarian & Small Encyclopaedia (Sahovski Informator), different other opening books I have for little improvements.

Priorities:

a = main line
b = high priority
c = low priority
d = rarely
e = deactivated, fast draw games up to move 20
f = deactivated, bad lines found with FCP games / lines produced double games
g = deactivated by my own decision

In the future I am working on my basic book ... FCP Live Book and I will created from time to time new versions of my FCP Opening Book.
You can find each time in my download file FCP Live Book & FCP Opening Book.

For yourself my FCP Opening Book 1.00 is much more interesting because lesser bad lines will be included.

If I am looking in my own stats my FCP Opening Book produced after around 200 games 1 bad line = 0.5%.
My FCP Live Book produced each 50 games 1 bad line = 2.0%.

Hi there,

with "bad lines" I means more "critical lines". My main work in find out such lines is very labor-intensive. If I found anything I sorted out the lines in my book with priority "f". Each FTP game was checked by hand (of course 3-5 moves after the book lines only).

More information can be found here:
http://www.amateurschach.de/main/_conditions.htm

Can be download in my download selection.

Explanation to priorities:

e = deactivated, fast draw games up to move 20
Very danger lines because engines produced fast draw games up to move number 20. Incapable for a serious work in creation of a rating list.

g = deactivated by my own decision
Most "g-lines" I set have to do with a better ECO distribution.

Example:
1. a3 with the last priority "d" and I have to many of 1. a3 games in my database. To try a good distribution with book settings / priorities "a, b, c, d" isn't easy. But it's more interesting as to work with book statistics and a lot of games with produced such statistics. Again, my opening book have 4.7Mb only and produced much more different opening moves as 500Mb opening books based on game stats. This one is very important or to many double games with the same opening are produced !!!

Best
Frank

PS:
I am waiting a long time in using the Shredder Classic GUI option "Weed Opening Book". Today I am thinking my FCP Live Book is good enough to do that now.

Re: Biggest work in cloning ... the World have seen!

Hi there,

oh yes, should be one of the biggest works in cloning the World ever have seen. Because the book is optimated with all the available TOP engines. Without the work by "our" engine programmers, such an opening book never can be created.

Furthermore, in cloning of all the GM knowledge of modern history.

For that reason (I need such a book for my work on a rating list) my book is freely available.

If you are using Shredder Classic GUI try it out.

500 1 minute games Stockfish vs. Komodo if you like!
You produced a balanced database. Have a short look in ECO distribution with Elostat or "ecolist" *.pgn tool by Norm Pollock. Search double games after the 500-game match ... perhaps you find such a game, can't believe it ...

:-)

OK, with my new FCP Opening Book 1.00 the probably is higher to produced a double game compare to my FCP Live Book. But a little bit higher only!
