Stockfish disappointing result against stockfish

[Uri Blass]

new version of Stockfish with 10^9 nodes per move as white drew against Stockfish15 at 10^8 nodes and when I am not surprised by the draw I expected at least a longer game when white keep some tiny advantage for more moves.

The revenge game(opposite sides when black got the node advantage) is almost the same and the evaluation got down to 0.00 even faster.

Stockfish15 always got 10^8 nodes per move because the target is to see if it is possible to beat Stockfish15 100M nodes from the opening position.

1200+20 usually search more than 100M nodes but not enough to win.

I believe that chess is a draw but white should try to win so a relatively short draw by white when white should be the better player is clearly a failure.

I hope to see some win for white because white search deeper but even if not at least to see a serious try for white to win.

White used 7 cores and the idea was to give it more nodes otherwise I will need to wait too long time to finish the game.

I did not use fixed number of nodes for white in the last games because I think that it is better not to use fixed number of nodes for white if you want to produce the best playing strength but allow the engine to divide its time better between moves.

new version of Stockfish with 10^9 nodes per move as white drew against Stockfish15 at 10^8 nodes and when I am not surprised by the draw I expected at least a longer game when white keep some tiny advantage for more moves.

The revenge game(opposite sides when black got the node advantage) is almost the same and the evaluation got down to 0.00 even faster.

Stockfish15 always got 10^8 nodes per move because the target is to see if it is possible to beat Stockfish15 100M nodes from the opening position.

It's still too early to put stockfish 15 to the test in this way, Because it is basically the strongest engine and 100Mn is quite a long time. When stockfish 16 comes out, will you want to put it to the test in the same way? It is totally nonsense, the engines are too similar, strong and time control is too long. For now, imagine you're in 2020 and want to put stockfish 11 to the test, now you won't need too many games to see him beat, But if you want to see sf15 defeated in a few games you will have to wait maybe sf20 or the engine that will be there in a couple of years or so.
