Will be watching but I agree that without Magnus, it is different.
As Kasparov said, will be a great chess match, just not a great World Championship :)

I disagree, Magnus lost the right to defend his Title, just like Fisher did in 1972, therefore, I do NOT want to hear anything more like but without Magnus, it is different, Bla , Bla, Bla. We are NOT sure if Magnus can defeat GM Ding Liren after he is being preparing for almost 6 Months. After GM Ding Liren become the World Chess Champion lets see if Chicken Shit Magnus get encourage to challenge him. My Opinion about Bobby Fischer back in 1975 and Magnus is that they are two Chess players with too much Pride, and Kasparov or Karpov would have beaten Fischer back then, regardless of what GM Aronian belief

It is a different time.
The BIG difference is the Magnus realizes he can make a LOT more $$ by not defending his title. That is something Bobby would likely have approved of.

I agree. Some very interesting games. I thought Ding deserved to win because of his mental toughness and willingness to take chances, but I also felt sorry for Nepo, who near as I can tell with my patzer knowledge of chess, blew a few opportunities to win the crown.
