Latest Stockfish changes

Post by bnst »

When I go to the github page given: https://github.com/official-stockfish/S ... h/releases
I only get the last change. Is there a way to see all the latest changes ?

Yes that is the best page for that. So go to the main 'Code' page in the upper left corner, on that page search for the 'Commits' link with total number of changes, that will take you to all the commits that are in the latest Dev version. Usually a new version will have several new commits, also because they first have to be tested together if they depend on each other. It is all programmer talk and not so easy to interpret if you are mainly interested in new strength or features. But that gives the most information. Reading the comments to the commit at least gives a clue to what's going on.
Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first
place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you
are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

I used to go to https://abrok.eu/stockfish/ to get dev builds of Stockfish but it seems https://github.com/official-stockfish/S ... h/releases is the better place. Am I right?

The abrok site has been discontinued. That was the reason I was looking for an alternative.
