Program amateur of the year 1993

Post by pedrox »

In the baul of memories, I found a floppy disk, an old program. The program is the year 1993. This was an early version not finished. I have the source code for some versions post where the program and the engine are improved but now I find it impossible compilation because I do not use Turbo C++.

To start playing with the program, select the button ELO, you have to choose the level (dificultad) Very low (Muy bajo) - Well (Bueno), Muy bajo
is a ply and Bueno is 5 ply. If you want to play with white sees Jugador blanco and select human (humano).

Move a piece and when you want to move the contrary click the mouse (sorry that clic was prepared to do play engine against engine, and to see the moves)

You can start a new game with the button where there is a letter J, you rotate the board with the button to your right and the last icon green leaves of the program (the other buttons do not work in this version).

In this version the program not knows repetition of moves and the rule of the 50 moves.

All source code and ideas are original, the engine uses minimax. The library openings are few openings selected of an older version of GNUChess
