I'd play Bb4 ... last try to draw, if possible.

And besides - the Tasc is rated at about 2,300 ELO - is anyone here that strong a player ? Honestly I'd expect us to lose even if we had not had started a pawn down, assuming we don't use engine assistance.

Re: Move 61..
If we DID use engine assistence, then I'm sure it would have been VERY easy to win. Just the latest rybka by itself ought to have done it, even though it was admittedly at odds.Spock wrote:Indeed !Graham Banks wrote: However, the game is supposed to be purely for fun, so we shouldn't get too cut up.

(anyone at 2300 elo? perhaps. I think e.g. terry mcCracken also considers himself to be).

i think Rybka running on decent hardware could probably give Knight odds to the 30 Mhz R30 and at least draw and probably win
the ONLY reason the Tasc might win this game is because of the HUGE odds its received at the start
this was never meant as a serious game..only as some chess practice and for enjoyment
the forum players are to be applauded for resisting the temptation to rely on their favorite engines and instead made moves analyzed by themselves
Bravo Regards
