A proposal to clear the case of Engine X....

Post by Dr.Wael Deeb »

....so,I won't go into deep details....
My proposal is Vasik Rajlich to post here an explanation for all of us,his customers about this afair of the century called....well,you know the names....
I do agree that this will bring even more flame wars upon his genius head so my additional proposal is:
His post to be sticky & locked, just a clean statement from his side....after that we,the freaks in this forum, can rip ourselves off in another thread....
Cheers,
Dr.D

I agree, Dr. D. I would like to see some proof or evidence instead of claims and accusations. :-)

This is not the Rybka Forum. Whatever you want, I would ask for it there.

From a logical point of view you are right,but....the problem has a global demintions now as it concerns a lot of issues connected to a lot of accused people not to say nations....besides,this is the mile stone forum for computer chess,Rybka forum is a derivative if you know what I mean

No, it has a Rybka dimension only. So ask where the answer can be provided in the format you want.

Have you bothered to send an email to the Engine X authors and ask them?

I guess that such a request will clear up the confusion in a jiffy.

 Good one Dann. It's not often we get an engine whose authors are too ashamed to own up to what they've done.

Well, yes, but ... i've seen a lot of accusations "here", and they may have some merit, but i've seen no evidence or proof. From all i've read here, it seems to be unclear what would constitute proof.
