I'll say Rybka, at the risk of being called a Rybka fanboy and a Vas-lover.

Does Rybka play Standard Games against those like Kasparov, Kramnik etc.??

PS: If you are a Rybka fan you wouldn't like if someone said Rybka is a Fruit clone, would you?

Rybka played some pretty strong players, giving them material odds and time odds, and still did extremely well.

The jury is still out on the Rybka is Fruity claim (some programmers saying it is, others pooh-poohing the claims), so I'm prepared to keep an open mind on that one at this stage.

Cheers,
Graham.

Just step aside or you might have a bit of heat

I like all that is open source. This is the problem I have with all those commercial engines like Rybka etc.
It's a pity that the newest versions of Fruit aren't open source anymore depsite being still free.

Romichess, Crafty, Glaurung, Strelka, Toga, Stockfish are all open source and free. And they are strong. All that is touched by Tord Romstad becomes a monster anyway.

Bison, Delfi and Scorpio are also very strong and open source.
