Re: Chess fear........
M. Ansari - HAH! It is due to people that maintain your perspective that induces me to miserly secret away my chess discoveries! Thereupon lays my quandary. Do I keep 'my precious' work to myself and thus be able to brutalize my chess foe with my 200 move depth analysis in over the board pay on national T.V. or to brilliantly rebuke the critics of this system via published material or internet dissemination
Certainly 1.b3 is not a 'White to play and win system' a la Soltis. Theoretically as Lasker(?) said "balanced positions lead again to balanced positions" paraphrased I am sure. Ergo one does not play 1.b3 for the forcing pressure of say 1. e4 . 1.b3 is a matter of taste and psychological warfare. I personally enjoy the thoroughly hazy and often irretreivably ugly moves that may be utilized that are often odious to the opposition. I am a real fan of the 'do -nothing' old school style of Hypermodernism. This does not mean however that complications can not be conjured up by the player of the White pieces. EVEN against the 1..... e5 systems. I shall stop now as I realize that this is my labor of love and not to everyone's predilictions.
