I heard something about he is going to be Anand's second in the match. obviously he could play the match himself but shows some good sport and respect for the existing players if he is indeed participating in this way.

Anand might be a future rival of Carlsen, so I highly doubt he would be a second as that simply reveals way too much. The misquote that was mentioned was actually a simple mistake by a clueless reporter.
