Big thanks to you, Clemens and all the people that donated for organizing and broadcasting the match.
Probably nobody expected that the 6-game match would be decided in 4 games

Will there still be a game 5 and 6 ?
If yes, what will be the conditions of these 2 games and when will they be played ?
Thank you again for organizing that.

Of course I had certain expectaitions but for sure I did not expect 3.5 out of 4 for ANY engine. I expected a lot of long and boring draws - it was far from that!
I am still very curious about the last two games as they will cover my favorite opening (which is unusual for comp chess) but I can already conclude that Houdini won convincingly this little tourney.

Asking me they will be played!
Same conditions, different opening. When? I don't know yet. It might be some time as all participant have to have some time left again. (3 parties to coordinate ...)

I will try to do a live webtransmission via browser of the game.
URL will be posted here as soon as possible
regards, Clemens Keck
Thank you very much for the webtransmission! It was a very exciting game to watch. And thanks to Ingo and company for arranging it all!

Seriously, wanting to play 46. Kb1?? is terrible .
Fully agreed......
All in all,it's playing style seems to be rather passive on the long run.....
No sign of whatever of the aggressive style we're used to watch when Deep Rybka is in action........

I have to say also that I am supprised...
I used to play centaur vs the Cluster and dont remember it playing in that way...
Maybe computer chess has evolved a lot during these last 2 Years and only now when matching Houdini 3 vs the cluster we see how much so.

It can either be this is because Lucas did remove every form of contempt from the Cluster for fear of losing, but this actually do worse because it will play more passively (and against Houdini playing passively = death).
The same happens (either if less) if you put the contempt to 0 for Houdini; it will not play risky lines, sure, but it is counterproductive because it plays more passive than usual (and Houdini is all in all an engine that hungers for activity).
This is just an hypothesis, naturally, it can either be instead that the Rybka software in the cluster is a little upgraded (downgraded in this case) and it plays more passively.
