where are still working downloads links available for these programs?

I possess both engines, but perhaps InmiChess 3.05 and KKFChess 2.7.0 can be hosted anywhere.......
Best wishes,
Norbert

You are right in both cases, except that you meant Firefly not KKFChessNorbert Raimund Leisner wrote:Hello,

1. I will add InMiChess to the rwbc downloads
2. As long as Andrews dyndns solution doesn't work reliable, (if it still exists at all!) I will also add a couple of FireFly versions to the rwbc downloads
BTW the latest working link was this: http://fireflychess.dyndns.pro/JQuery/FF_JQ_UI.html but that one seems dead too
Probably I can do this on Monday together with the next chronology update.

As promised, InmiChess 3.05 is now available at the rwbc downloads.
For FireFly I have yet to decide which selection of versions I should upload, because I found 40 folders with different versions!
Moreover FireFly frequently changed the book format over time and also had own bitbases in the beginning,
which means I have to think about the space I wanna sacrifice.
I guess I should upload mainly those versions which were tested the most, e.g. @CCRL, CEGT, WBEC etc. ?
Proposals for a selection are welcome. Andrew, if you are still out there you should host them all ;-)
BTW the chronology was updated too.

Andrew´s answer:
The site you listed had been defunc for a few years.
You should be able to find FireFly at:
http://fireflychess.dyndns.pro
It should be still running ? I had not refreshed the DNS entry as I am away from that machine for months on end.
Failing that you will have to wait until I get to that machine and renew the DNS entry.

Of course it fails, because that is the link I tested of course, as you can see in my post, where I told you the name of his latest site.Norbert Raimund Leisner wrote:Andrew´s answer:

Was there ever a version 3.06 of InmiChess for Winboard?
I have the Chessbase native version 3.06N. I believe it came from the Chessbase download site when they provided such extra engines.
According to my Scid database, it was first used by me in Fritz 6 GUI in November 2000.
I seem to remember downloading version 3.05 for Winboard a couple of years ago, but had problems with it and deleted it.
The InmiChess 3.06N engine still works ok in Fritz 13 GUI.

Yes there was only a 3.06N version for Chessbase, otherwise 3.05 was the last version.Colin-G wrote:Was there ever a version 3.06 of InmiChess for Winboard?

After your post I tried 3.05 again after a very long time and it still works here under WIN7-64, but needs several seconds to initialize.
Moreover it seems it cannot be run in commandline on my system, but I don't remember if it did under XP e.g.
I even tried it w/o its ini file and book file and it still works.
At least in the past under WB one needed to give the 'xboard' parameter.
(it is possible that adding 'xboard' is obsolete meanwhile in WB, but I don't know for other GUIs)
