If you can be a little more specific in what you are looking for, I can write you a quick python .py script to do it using pychess.

Hi Andrew,

different reasons!

1. Average time:

At the moment Klaus and myself search a mistake we have in Excel with the Somu tool by Ed Schröder and "Time per Game" with 40 moves in 20 minutes repeatedly with a move average from 88.795 from the first 7.380 games (round 1-9).

Match-Stats will explain us that the average for a game = 1:04h

I wonder ...

Example, the games from yesterday (no crashes, all runs without any problems) ...

534 games played on three machines (16, 10, 6 cores = 32 cores).
With join PGN tool or summary PGN tool I can see 95376 moves for 534 games.

The day have 1440 minutes x 32 cores (32 still running ponder = off matches) = 46.080 minutes.

46.080 minutes : 534 games = 86,29 average time per game
More as 1:26h for one game, but match-stats told us 1:04h

Seems to be logical that 40 moves in 20 minutes repeadedly ...
with a move average from 88,795 ...
must produced games with an average from around 1:20h or a bit higher.
via Network (two of three systems per WLan, games saved on a fast USB-drive) Shredder GUI need often max. 5 seconds for load the next games (the two systems connected with Wlan). But this one can't produced such a high different (1:04h to 1:26h).

Something must be wrong with Match-Stats.

2. Move average:

I missed the information for tools like ordo, bayesian, EloStat. Interesting to see if we are looking on a rating-list. I set move average in the ratinglist for FCP Tourneys by hand. More interesting as move average is move average for white and black games. To edit a rating list with additional information with different tools is to many work.

normaly ...
TOP-41 engines used 85%-90% of possible time for a game (average) and not 70% match-stats told us with 1:04h per game.

As a programmer you know the problem.
If I can't find the problem ... with a logical explanation ... frustration building is the result and the night can be very hard!
