Fritz 17 question

Post by Gabor Szots »

How can I restore the previous version (24)? I have recently updated to version 26 which corrupted tournament play.

That was my plan but I don't know where to find that update.

Naturally at CB :D
It depends on your original version:
http://download.chessbase.com/updates/G ... x64_24.txt
http://download.chessbase.com/updates/G ... n10_24.txt

Just rename txt. to .exe and do the update to version 24.

I also had issues with Fritz 17 update 26, it would not save my pane layout. I restored update 24 from my own backup.

Did you make it yourself or does it save it automatically somewhere?

I used my own Acronis backup to restore the appropriate Chessbase folders.

Thanks, I'll remember that solution.

Is there a way to find those update links manually from Chessbase.com? If not, how did you find the links?

Thanks,
