Have they fixed the search explosion problem that has been mentioned here a number of times?

Andrew
I reported such a problem with position:
r3r1k1/2qb1pp1/pp2n1np/2p1P3/2R1N3/1B3N1P/PP1Q1PP1/4R1K1 w - - bm Nf6+;
Stockfish 15 at least behaves nicely on this one.

Thanks Anst, I'll search for some of the other reported positions in the next few days and see how they go.

Stockfish Team use Bayeselo for elo measure.

Thanks, happy to hear that. So the ratings lists that use Ordo will be showing gains of more than the +37 Elo stated, depending on test conditions.

Stockfish speed is going down steadily. 6 core bench i5:

SF14 14,4 Mnps
SF14.1 13,1 Mnps
SF15 11,0 Mnps

I really miss classic or asmfish :) .

I'm not seeing that slowdown with SF15 here, not on the standard bench command anyway (1 thread). Just a tiny bit slower than 14.1, maybe 1-2%, if at all.

Well it varies a bit between runs, on 12 threads here:

14.1 - 26.7 Mnps
15 - 25.6 Mnps

So 4-5%
