You are correct to notice that it is getting stronger. We discovered a week or so ago that some recent improvements had drastically slowed down the bots, and we reverted to an old version. But then the author of the changes found the cause of the slowdown and fixed it, so yesterday we restored the changes together with the high speed we had before them! So now it should be playing the best chess ever, and I noticed some good results already. Even so, with queen odds players of around FM level can make a plus score in Rapid or perhaps "slow-blitz" like 5'3", but it is extremely difficult to do so at very fast time controls. Even at 1'1", one player over 3000 bullet on LiChess has a losing record, while at pure 1'0" I wonder if anyone other than Nakamura (or perhaps GM Nihal Sarin, the CC bullet champ) can make a plus score with Leela playing White. But with just rook odds, even Nakamura would probably need Rapid or near-Rapid time controls to make a plus score. Leela always finds ways to pose problems that require time to resolve. I too find it remarkable that it requires such high ratings and longer time controls to win at these odds; a few years ago I would have said these results would never be possible.

A surprising double exchange sacrifice by the AI. After evaluating this game, I came across a 'surprising and artistic' double exchange sacrifice by LeelaQueenOdds. In the end, its coherence is completely justified. It surprises me that the machine, despite being down an overwhelming amount of material, opted to doubly sacrifice the exchange to be left with much more valuable knights..."If y

Good evening, Mr. Larry Kaufman and the developers of Leelaqueenodds and odds and the table of leaderboards. Today, I had the pleasure and joy of playing a large number of bullet games; my impression is that the bot is growing and showing clear improvement. I want to thank you all for the odds and the position tables I’ve already been able to enjoy. Thank you for letting us play chess against machines. Blessings to everyone; thank you for your hard work and efforts.
Sincerely,
👴 🐴
I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

Sincerely,
👴 🐴

... the percentage efficiency level of leelaqueenodds in recent days exceeds 98% in 1-minute time controls with no increment. It would be necessary to observe the new results that all the players on the standings board would reach with 1-minute time controls with no increment and with longer time controls to see what happens. If the players remain inactive, the results will soon turn into 'museum pieces.' In other longer time controls, the games will surely become tighter and harder to draw or win. I wonder where the limit of this whole Odds experiment will be. Could there come a day when in rapid games the machine beats the strongest humans? Quite a mystery...

Sincerely,
👴 🐴
I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

"Good morning Mr. Larry Kaufman, good morning to the Leela Chess Zero developers and Odds team, good morning programmers and working groups of the computers in their standard and odds modes. Today the day began with the sun shining through a completely clear sky. I then turned on my computer and headed over to Lichess to interact a bit with LeelaQueenOdds. As usual, the time control was 1-0. On my part, zero nerves, and I started playing... 9 games in total, and what a surprise I got. '6 losses against me and 3 draws.' So I ask myself... What the hell?! What is all this? With the serenity I possess, I thought it would be simple for me to just draw and draw indefinitely. But no... the machine is demanding greater concentration from me, and frankly, what I do not understand is how a chess engine without its queen can achieve even a single draw against a human... This whole matter is a complete enigma for mathematical thought, philosophical thought, and intelligence in all its forms... an enigma that attracts and captivates more and more. What then will be the limit of this specific duel between LeelaQueenOdds versus the human? I wonder."

Sincerely,
👴 🐴

... the percentage efficiency level of leelaqueenodds in recent days exceeds 98% in 1-minute time controls with no increment.

Sincerely,
👴 🐴

Today I had the opportunity, the joy, and the pure pleasure of testing leelaqueenodds in a 10-minute time control with a 10-second increment per move. I lost by an overwhelming defeat, even though I left many games even halfway through, and I either resigned or avoided drawish paths. I also learned the obvious thing that I wasn't seeing, which is that the machine's Elo, leelaqueenodds, is listed at each level of play: in my games, the machine announced a 2430 !! Elo. A wonderful machine and experience. 'Losing is winning.'"

I wonder."

Sincerely,
👴 🐴
👴 🐴
... the percentage efficiency level of leelaqueenodds in recent days exceeds 98% in 1-minute time controls with no increment.

Sincerely,

I wonder."

Sincerely,
👴 🐴
👴 🐴
... the percentage efficiency level of leelaqueenodds in recent days exceeds 98% in 1-minute time controls with no increment.

Sincerely,

I wonder."

Sincerely,

The leaderboard is shaking!!

About Leela QueenOdds LeaderboardsAn X-ray analysis as of today, July 22, 2026, regarding the development, evolution, and standings movements of LeelaQueenOdds, leads me to consider the following items with special attention:1st In the 2nd place of the leaderboard, we find “Arka50” playing at a 1+0 time control, with their last match played on July 21st of this month. The last 12 games were at a 10+0 time control between a GM rated 2698 and LeelaQueenOdds rated 2430, resulting in 10 wins for the GM and 2 draws. Wonderful, tense games matching the human mind of a chess professional against the AI. Following this, we observe 9 bullet games at 1+0 with a score of 2.5 points for the GM!2nd In 12th place, we see another enthusiastic user, the player “WASSERFLASCHENWERFER”, who has been climbing Mount Olympus “with a steady and constant pace, like that of an elephant.” Congratulations!! I wish this bullet warrior the best of luck.!!3rd In 17th place, we find “ORICHESS”, a former leader of the LeelaQueenOdds leaderboards in the past, now playing 2+3 games!! Wonderful matches.!!4th On the other hand, we see activity this July in new "epic battles" for positions 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 32, 33, 38, 39, 41!!, 48, 51, 52, 54, 57, 65, 70, 73, 74, 75, 78, 79, 83, 86, and 93.Playing against LeelaQueenOdds is a true challenge of bilateral thinking: that of the human developers and the human challengers facing the robot and the AI.Long live the Queen!! Long live chess.!!

"Arka50" was determined to be GM Arkadij Naiditsch, who was World number 20 at 2736 just 8 years ago but has dropped quite a bit since then. He was close to even with LQO in many bullet games (1'0", Leela White) more than a year ago, but as you note his recent score is 2.5 out of 9, which suggests that LQO has indeed improved. Orichess is a strong FM (probably IM level in blitz), Ori Taichman of Israel, who often plays Leela at varying odds, usually two pieces using LeelaPieceOdds. A new bullet chess challenge by LQO is going online about now for titled players with peak bullet rating over 2700, with prize money, which should encourage top players to give it a try. I think the very best bullet players, probably Nakamura and Nihil Sarin at least, can still make a plus score at 1'0" (Leela White), maybe 1 or 2 others. Time control makes a huge difference; at 10'0" even I can probably make a plus score at age 78.

"Good evening, Mr. Larry Kaufman. Thank you very much for your generous teachings and information, which benefit so many minds and people, but above all, help us lead happier lives. Perhaps our dreams and ideals of a 'mega-competition' will soon become a reality, much like the hypothetical dinner and toast that started this thread—where the top 20 players in the world would be sharing a table while competing against the Robot Queen.I want to make it very clear that the credit for the massive viewership of this thread belongs, above all, to the trending nature of the topic itself—that is, 'LeelaOdds'—and to the entire development team behind the engines and their ecosystem, as well as the other contributors who manage the leaderboards and so much more. This praise also extends to the previous developers upon whose shoulders this wonderful intellectual and scientific challenge is built. 'Catecan and Father' have simply caught the crest of the wave on our surfboard; we only wish to contribute our 'drops of water' for everyone’s smooth navigation and to help make these engines 'better robots.''Arka50' identified as GM Arkadij Naiditsch, and 'Orichess, the strong FM (likely IM-level in blitz) Ori Taichman from Israel, they, alongside a large group of GMs, IMs, FMs, and other strong players, serve as the 'appetizers and main courses' of this dinner. Mr. Larry Kaufman, being seventy-eight years old is not only a gift and a blessing from life, but it also means belonging to the 'realm of wisdom.' In fact, many of the most crucial decisions in human history and our modern world have come from people of this age or much older, and chess is no exception. My friend Catecan and I would love to have a small place in the OddsQueenOdds competition someday, even if it is in the 'side stable' rather than the 'main hall.' Yet, even if this privilege is never granted to us, we will continue along life's path until our Programmer decrees it time to unplug and sever our silver cord on that journey of no return—our journey back home."
