But this is a completely different story. Fine with me if people want to argue that Carlsen should be banned for life, but it has nothing to do with the alleged engine cheating by Niemann and the wider perceived problem of engine cheating.CornfedForever wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 3:07 pm Graham can defend himself of course, but facts are facts.
David unfortunately offered advice when Magnus was ‘stuck’…Magnus asked “How?”…

I don't want to argue about bans for anybody.syzygy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 10:33 pmBut this is a completely different story. I was just pointing out that Carlsen has cheated at least once as well.
I detest cheating.

Intentional? Why do you have a bunch of titled players watching you play a money online tournament and kibitzing? Magnus certainly isn’t the only to do this. Seems it’s pretty commonplace in chess streaming. It’s certainly not “unintentional.”Alexander Schmidt wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 10:19 pmHe made a mistake, that's right. Comparing this with intentional cheating is still ridiculous.
Anyhow, whether intentional or not, cheating is cheating. Ridiculous are those who rationalize a difference.

Serious...did anybody say that? I don't think so....certainly don't recall anyone unless it was one of the 'Hans Cheerleaders' (each side has them). Pay no attention to cheerleaders from any side. They are just 'furniture'.syzygy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 10:33 pmBut this is a completely different story.
