Well, my 40th birthday is coming up, and I think I can finally persuade the wife to buy me a DGT board and that it is not "just another chess board"
Do you have any recommendations about reliable boards? Also, what software runs the most flawlessly with a DGT board?
best

Re: recommendation for DGT board and related software
I have the Rosewood USB board and Royale piece combination and to my eyes it's a very good looking set.
I also own the beige DGT XL clock, though the "beep" doesn't function correctly on mine
In terms of software I use it with Arena 1.1, Fritz 10 GUI and the Shredder GUI with no problems at all. I've also managed to link it to my PPC with Pocket Grandmaster, though strangely I can't get t to work with CEBoard but I think this is down to the USB CF card rather then the board.
In general it's a joy to play on and I'm sure you'll love it! You'll never go back to staring at the screen again.
I believe that the release of a Bluetooth version is due shortly so it might be worth holding back and seeing how that works out?
Kind regards
Paul
