Thanks very much, Jim. I really hope it has a 32 bit no-log exe like you gave us for 22.0. They are a pain.

Hello George,

Here's the Crafty 22.1 win32 build with log creation disabled internally.

http://www.zshare.net/download/107044748d4c1ded/

Can you jog my memory as to to why this is necessary and why the 'crafty.rc' option doesn't work?
Is it a Chessbase+Adapter problem?

Jim.

Thanks, Jim. Im afraid im not going to be a lot of help with your question. I am running Crafty thru Chessbase as UCI with the adapters. Which means it will obey- or should obey all the commands in the rc file. And it does, except i have never been able to get it to quit creating log files, no matter how i change the command in the rc file. Your no-log exe for 22.0 was a breath of fresh air. In the versions that have it- maybe all- i even also went into parameters and unticked the log file option. But that was no help either. Maybe some others know something i dont- but your no-log exe is the only reprieve i have had.

Best and Thanks,
Tony Thomas

I didnt notice your thread until I posted a new one. I would have expected a thread like this to stay on the top. Everyone seems to be interested in Anatoli and not Crafty.. Am I the only Crafty whore left?

I for one am a big fan of Crafty. Besides being just a flat-out great engine, its roots are in an important part of computer chess history. Oh yeah, and it's free. :) Whenever I do multi-engine analysis, Crafty is always one of them. I have great respect for its playing style and analysis.

Thanks Jim for the build.
