Will the price of Gas and Rice effect your Chess Purchases?
Aka: Software, Computers, and Tournaments.
FICS and Chess Assistant Club membership might even start to grow, that is if you can afford to stay online. Linux use might pick up also ... Just say NO to dail-up!

Actually the high price of petrol , grains and dairy make my purchases of chess related items that much easier to stomach. Before when thinking about getting a new chess program I would compare what else I could get instead.Today that is not much, which makes all the chess software seem like a bargain! They should increase their prices to keep up with inflation.
This remember me the history of that bibliophile that had his house full of books, from top to bottom, in such a way he could not use his chairs and any kind of furniture, all of them under books, piles of books. No room for nothing.
One day, he tell, he arrived home and he realized in a sudden that that was an impossible situation. He could not live that way. He should do something, he thought.
So the other day he sold the furniture
