Request to Ja (about MSCP)

Post by Tony Thomas »

Is there anyway to disable the books completely? Since I play 1min+1sec time controls, it mostly lose on time before the book loads or so I think. I am able to play against the engine without any problems, but it hasnt made even one move when I entered it in a tournament. Either my computer is slow as hell or MSCP does something weird with its book. If I remove the book, the engine doesnt work at all.

Thanks in advance
Tony

I found a more serious problem by loading the pgn in arena. For some reason Arena considers MSCP a human, and saves the match as a human vs human match. So that means that Fianchetto and MSCP should be taken off my list as both are listed as humans...

Do you have any clue what I am talking about??

That's uncanny. I'm working on MSCP right now, I'm just putting the finishing
touches to make it play the Knightmate variant. I've disabled the book already for this and added time control. It will play normal chess too. I'll probably post a link tonight. Not sure why it thinks it's a human. I'll check.

Jim.
