Playchess error The system cannot execute the specified prog

When trying to run playchess on XP SP3 , I get the following :-

C:\Program Files\ChessBase\PlayChess>PlayChess.exe
The system cannot execute the specified program.

Playchess was working before with XP SP2. Oh man, no chess for me. I guess I'll have to do the crossword puzzle

Try to set it to "compatibility mode" (right click on the file-properties)

I tried clicking on the Playchess link on the desktop and I get the error This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem even after setting compatibility mode. I get the earlier error by running through the command prompt.

I have the SP3 installed and didn't encounter such a problem....

Just uninstall the program,restart the XP and install it again....
