Hi Graham,

I have Thinker problems!

What was your Wb2Uci.eng file and what Wb2Uci version did you use?

I have tried several 60-game matches "engine A - Thinker 5.1D Passive" (or 5.1E) in the Shredder9 GUI, 4'+2", Noomen 2006 suite, and always got from 2 to 10 Thinker losses due to: time lapse, constant 0 sec thinking, even a few GUI crashes...

Do you think Shredder11 GUI is better than Shredder9 GUI?

Thinker 5.1D exe is dated 21/04/08
[ENGINE]
Name=Thinker 5.1D Passive
Author=Lance Perkins
Filename=(Passive) Thinker 32-bitUCI.exe

[OPTIONS]
Program=(Passive) Thinker 32-bit.exe hashsize=8
Edit=edit
OwnBook=false
ShowThinkingMove=true
Ponder=false
Visible=Ponder,Hash,ShowThinkingMove,Logfile,OwnBook,Extras
I'm not sure whether or not your problems are due to using the Shredder 9 GUI, but I'm sure you're aware that you should create all engines under the Shredder GUI as uci engines, using the wb2uci adaptors where necessary?

Regards, Graham.

Well thanks, Graham.
While I have problems with Thinker in the Shredder 9 GUI, I don't have problems in the Shredder 11 GUI...
Only in one game (out of 180) did I get an immediate buggy move and game (with zero thinking time for all the game: see the 0s syndrome!) by "(Passive) Thinker 5.1D"

25...Nc5 ?? was the first move where Thinker had to.. think.
