So I guess 2.2n2 is by far the strongest free engine now. :)

As expected. And I'm surprised that they did release the 64bit and MP versions, so there's no "but" on the issue

So basically any commercial engine (except Rybka 2.3.2a & Rybka 3) is weaker than the strongest free engine on the market.

Yes, isn't that mind blogging?! Rybka has a monopoly on:

- The strongest Chess engine (Commercial)

- The strongest Freeware engine (stronger that the rest of the commecial)

- The most attractive playing style with Rybka 3 Human (highest Strength/Style or Style/Strength ratio)

Hello Martin,

take a look at Patricks complete Rating-List ...

Toga 1.4 beta5C rating is 2757, so this engine can smell Rybkas sweat ...

Seems to me their is no clear free-leader in the UEL.

Rybka 2.2n2 is definitely stronger than Toga 1.4 beta5C.....

Tobias,

Well, 2 elo points would separate the human world #1 from #2 so I guess it's all about prestige. ;)

Hi Tobias,

Toga is not in the UEL. There is only one Engine for each autor, for derivate I ask the real autor which engine must gone in the liste. Fabien prefers that was Fruit.

The rating for Toga is just an indication. It's the rating of the version 1.2.1a.

Patrick

Seems to me that you should be more careful about statements.
Rybka's rating is based on 128 games....Toga's rating is based on what?...10 games?...i haven't found anything there about it's games!

Based on CCRL 40/4 (the only one where I could find 2.2n2) There is a difference of 107 points between these engine!

Rybka 2.2n2 64-bit 2CPU 3047 763 games
Toga II 1.4 beta5c 2CPU 2940 370 games

Have a good day !
