Ted, unless Kramnik is truly a Superman, let this be the decisive game.

I must admit I'm somewhat disappointed in Anand's play from game 9 onwards, he played like a champion for over half of the match and the last couple of games he's barely recognizable. However, Kramnik didn't play like Kramnik until late in the match and his win yesterday was the most profound and beautiful in the match thus far.

Let's see these two today play some great chess!

@Terry:

Yes, I felt Kramnik starting to play himself back into form from game 9 also. I guess thats is why I don't understand why Anand did not liquidate off major pieces early and go for a quick draw in game 10. It marred in a way the great performance by Anand in this event.

@Gerold:

Yes, thats what I think he should do, but he should have done it in game 10. :) Well at least he has white today.

It seems obvious to me, that Anand would have been confused by his great success until then, and was mixed up as to whether or not he is invincble, and his whole mental state might have been not with him because of it, and he himself might already be getting tired. Mainly, emotionally. Also, it is in particular difficult, to finish off a job, just at the point when it looks like it is only the last stage. This can cause danger, where no danger is apparent, and then that danger can increase, and in the end, it's just hanging on a thread when the mission is finally accomplished.
Call it cracking under te strain.

You have a point about the pressure, I just hope Anand has it all together today. :lol:
