[CCB] Thinker 5.3b Inert- 2895!

Post by swami »

I've added the Thinker 5.3b Inert to the same GBT 1 tournament gauntlet to see the progress, here are the results:

Thinker 5.3b Inert 1 CPU - Score: 89.5/100

Rank: 1

Previous Version Stats:

Thinker 5.2b Passive - Score: 82.5/100

Rank: 6

Notes: It's a decent improvement at the higher level, Once I add Rybka latest beta to the tournament, I wonder if Thinker would stay at the same position unaltered.

I'm very happy that one of my favorite engines is back on top again! :D

Is there a way to set 2 CPU's for the engine? I think it uses either 1 or 4 in Arena via 2 exes, and there's no way to configure the CPU's used.

It's good to know that even 1 cpu version of Thinker is this much stronger. Bright had 2 CPU's when it first won the tournament few months ago.

It's a command line switch e.g.

Code: Select all

MP-Inert-Thinker_64-bit.exe hashsize=8 threads=8

command line option - this is located in main engine section where you install them/set logos etc

I haven't tried it but I'm sure this is the one.

Arena ->Engine -> Manage -> Details -> Thinker -> Command Line Parameters

and insert the Ken's text and slightly modify it.

Tested and It's working.
