Unknown to me is why the aspect ratio is not one to one.
It's a nice idea, but not new. I recall form many years ago the use of chess demonstration boards used for the same purpose.

Fun idea. Thanks. One proviso. The board is a litttle too vertical for me in terms of asymetry.
