What is the rating of Shredder Classic 3

I know that Shredder Classic 3 is a little bit slower than shredder 11, but has anybody done any matches with Shredder Classic 3? It is close to Thinker 5.4a inert or Cyclone 3.4

I know that Shredder Classic 3 is a little bit slower than shredder 11, but has anybody done any matches with Shredder Classic 3? It is close to Thinker 5.4a inert or Cyclone 3.4

Since nobody seems to has done any kind of matches to find out approximately how strong is Shredder Classic 3. I decided to play a few matches starting with Movei00_8_438, then vs Thinker 5.4a inert and vs Cyclone 3.4. Here is the score so far.

Yes, Shredder Classic 3 is about the same strength of Shredder 8 and just around Movei00_8_438. Why is such a weak program being sold when you can get a much stronger free program like Rybka v 2.2 and Thinker 5.4a Inert?

I guess that you can simply not buy something, if you think it is not worth the money. I have bought Shredder Classic 3 because of the UCI GUI which has some fairly good features like that it is aesthetically pleasing to play against, access to opening database and 6 piece TBs, and that there are not many competing interfaces for my OS. Besides, it is not very expensive.

I guess that you can simply not buy something, if you think it is not worth the money. Besides, it is not very expensive.

I guess that you have a point, the Shredder GUI is one of the best GUI around and for the money it is worth every pennies. Therefore, the weak shredder Classic 3 engine could be taken as a bonus
