Actually, there were at least two bug fixes that should help/not hurt playing strength on one processor: one caused a random move to be chosen sometimes at the end of a search, and one which might cause too much time to be used.
I'm going to try and fix all the SMP issues before I make the next release. It's running pretty stably on quads, but it hangs every once in a while (much more often on an octal, as seen in CCT).
Another question if you don't mind too much: Has Amundsen been dropped from the Amateur series? I don't see it in the lists since the 8th series division 6.

Unfortunately, I can't get the latest version of Amundsen working under any GUI, so I've had to drop it for now.

Wow, I haven't had any troubles with it at all under Xboard. 0.70 was a bit buggy, but I find that 0.75 has been a big boost in strength.
