Can anybody get Tiffanys 0.4 to work?

Post by Graham Banks »

I'd like to run Tiffanys 0.4 without its own board, as an engine under ChessGUI or Fritz. No luck with working out how to do it yet.
Can anybody help?

Cheers, Graham.

Hi Wael,

I only use x moves in y minutes. I also know about the xboard command line parameter.
I can't get it to work either as a Winboard engine or with wb2uci adapters under ChessGUI.
I've asked Matthias to take a look.
Thanks for trying to help Wael.

Cheers, Graham.

PS - if it's a lot weaker than the the bottom engine in the CCRL list (Surprise), I probably won't test it at this stage anyway.

Flux, Alf and Mediocre work okay (can't think of others offhand), although I know you have concerns over the fluctuation and size of the memory usage for Mediocre in particular,

Still can't see what I was doing wrong in that case, but I think that Tiffany is too weak for me to test at 40/40 anyway (considering that the bottom engine in our list is currently just under 2000 elo.
