Mainsworthy 60003 now at version 64017 varied play Engine

Post by mainsworthy2 »

The First Mainsworthy Engine has been updated, and now has new books, aswell as plays a varied game, it never plays the same game twice!

I learned a lot from Son and Experimental Engines, and have found the new engine a more exciteing Engine vs Engine play because of its varied play.

SOON! to be on Leo's site. hopefully.

Are the time controls x+y, x/y, and game/x all implemented ?

Simple solutions for time per move are respectively

i) (TimeLeft - FewSeconds)/25 + y (y=0 for first move)
ii) (x - FewSeconds)/y
iii) (TimeLeft - FewSeconds)/25

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Hi Matthias, thanks ! I can see I need to devote some time to this, but if you enter a 5-10min game Mainsworthy dosn't lose on time :) Ive not seen too many tourney's under 5mins.

Its my very next job, I will be happier when its done though. thanks for watching over me mark

Many people test the stability of new engines at 1+1 or "1/40 repeated" or game/60sec.
