Hi,
I Haven't seen anybody post about Pocket Shredder 1.0 but its better than the Pocket Fritz 2 version. It has 4-piece shredderbases and plays the endings better than all the other programs. Stefan Meyer-Kahlen didn't answer my question if I can load the 5-piece shredderbases to a micro-sd card and let the program use them as the 5-piece would take too much memory so I don't know yet if the program supports this. It has only 2 bugs the program doesn't load the opening book if you go above 16 mb cache and the engine output doesn't show more than one variation its supposed to show one to six variations using the options but when you expand the window it shows the notation for the moves instead of the engine output. Has plenty of training functions with trees of opening names and ECO codes has tactics training, opening traning and endgame training. Graphics are nice and has a built in elo calculator that plays at your level if you wish. Its a little expensive but offers something that Pocket Fritz 3 and PocketGrandmaster 4.1 doesn't have mainly the tablebases and I consider it a worthy addition to Mobile Chess Programs!

Re: Pocket Shredder has Shredderbases
DanaSah can play in PocketPc (MobilThinkerBoard) with 5 men of bitbases of Scorpio (new bitbases). The bitbases have 228 MB and can be introduced into a 256 Mb SD card.
When I play with bitbases, memory hash have that down of about 16 Mb to 4 Mb, so you can think, it is better to play without bitbases?.
Dll file required to access the bitbases is distributed with danasah and could be used by other programs, for example the family Fruit-Toga (they also use bitbases in PC). Of course it is not problem give to the modified code if you want make the Dll file, I only changed two things (for compile in pocketpc) of Daniel Shawull code.
