Pocket Fritz 4

Post by mephisto »

ChessBase has entered Pocket Fritz 4 into the same South American tournament that Pocket Fritz 3 won last year.
This year it is using a version of Hiarcs 13 and as I write it is joint leader with 5.5 pts with four rounds to go.

Last year it won the tournament with a GM norm. It looks like it will do the same again. The operator is sending me all the games and some pictures. They are all in this thread http://www.hiarcs.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2537 So far we have scored 5.5/6

Last year Hiarcs scored an undefeated 8/10 which was a 2691 performance. So far this year we have 7.5/8 so we should beat last years score.

We got a GM norm in Argentina last year. We will almost certainly get one this year. If we score 9.5/10 which looks very possible it will be a 2912 performance. I am pretty certain we got a GM norm here http://www.hiarcs.com/Games/gmpara.htm I think we should apply to FIDE for the official title :-)

Who needs a Cluster? :P
