Fritz 10 Chess Board Problem?

Post by bigo »

I notice that both my 3d options are greyed out under the view menu. I have a Radeon hd 3200 graphics card intergrated with my Gigabyte motherboard all the drivers are the latest, i'm running windows xp 32 bit. Perhaps there is a setting in my graphics manager that needs to be adjusted could someone suggest a solution?

thanks

I have the F10 GUI too, but I never install the 3D stuff. I can only report that my box (of Shredder 11 SE) says, recommended graphics with 64 MB graphics memory while the manual recommends 128 MB, and GeForce5. I don't know if your graphics hardware is better or worse.

The crucial point could be though: it requires DirectX 9. I you don't have it yet, it should be on the installation CD or DVD. But in that case, I'd rather download it from Microsoft which will provide the latest version (or take DirectX 10 if it's compatible with your system, at your own risk).

To check which DirectX version you have, run "dxdiag" from the Start menu/run.
