[STS: 1-6] Division 2

Post by swami »

Hello All,

I've decided to run the division tournaments with the test suites as the base. Quite a number of people have asked when I'd get around to updating the test results section on the site.

So the time is now.

I offer to keep Prediction Contest as the side entertainment. There are 17 engines, I decided to include one more engine in case some kind of crash was exhibited by one of the engines. The participants list for the 2nd Division is as follows:

Strategic Test Suite Conditions:
Arena GUI
10 seconds per position
600 positions
Core2Quad 32 bits, Q6600, 2 GB RAM, 2.4GHZ
Most Engines uses 128 Mb Hash.
Will set thread to 1 Cpu.
All engines use their latest available freeware version.
Engines with Setboard function enabled

Code: Select all

Engine Prediction Contest Participants:

I'd like to see the predictions from Dann, Gerold, Zach, Ray and ofcourse others as well :)

Have fun.

Ulysses asked how the contest works:

You have to pick the top 3 that you think will score more. If the engine gets 400/600, you get 4.00 points. If one of the other engines get 365/600, you get 3.65 for it and so on, Just divide it by 100. Add the number of points and you get the overall points.

Interesting that all the choices were taken in a poll.

For those who have voted so far: Please let me know by posting the 3 choices either as a reply to this message or via pm, It doesn't matter if you chose the same engines as someone else. If I knew your choices, I could award you the points once the tournament ends.

Just a shot in the dark really.
My guess is these have pretty good all round testsuite performance.

Mine are going to be guesses pretty much too. I haven't really seen most of these play.
