Fritz 12 reaches version 6...

Post by Michael Diosi »

Hi,

According to a posting in the CSS forum Fritz 12 has now reached version 6. Wonder if there are no bugs why do they release a version after an other ?

Of course none of these has been mentioned in the Fritz 12 review by a famous Swiss "journalist" Instead he keeps calling people who mention the bugs talibans and mentaly retarded. I wouldn't call this serious journalism at all. This is why I also don't link to this kind of "review"

Another ChessBase sysop calls ChessBase server users trolls in the discussion of Fritz 12 bugs in the CSS. It seems beeing a sysop doesn't belong to his core competence, unfortunately.

Of course Arena bugs are mentioned on the Arena page, there is nothing to hide. We want those bugs fixed. But that's a different story...

At least the patches and bug fixes are being released. When is the last time you received a patch (Update) for bugs in Rybka 3 (Engine)? Here is a hint "NEVER".

What a beautiful reminder I read here....are we still waiting for Rybka 3+ to be delivered to the customers of Rybka 3 :!: :?:

Let's see now....the same policy of silence applied by the Rybka team or should I call it arrogance to ignore the fans and do whatever is suitable for them....

Even without new releases and bug fixes. Ryka 3 will beat Fritz 12,13,14 and probably 15.

.............and I'll probably get lambasted for saying it, but the Fritz GUI is superior to Arena also (and yes I know Arena is free and I agree that it's a good GUI).

Hi,

You can spend your money on what you want. You also forget one thing the Arena page and forum didn't hide any of the bugs the way ChessBase does. Also Arena is done by an amateur in his spear time. Did you look how many "professionals" are involved in the ChessBase project ?

By the way when using the server and even without doing so did you ask yourself what the GUI is doing on your PC ? You should.

Also if the ChessBase software is so buggy how can it be that people are accused on the server to cheat based on a "reliable" software ?

Hi,

Did you read the interview with Vas about the bishop underpromotion ? That one was mentioned but of course it was just a replace for all other problems.

With ChessBase you get the SP only if you have an internet connection, all others don't even know about it and will have to live with the bugs.

Also all older Rybkas are now free, no free Fritz 10, 11.... or ChessBase 9,8.. or ...
