Besides the name of a common fish does Stockfish have another meaning ? Glaurung is a cool name - fantasy and Dragons and such. Might we see a return to the name Glaurung?
Is Tord now working exclusively with the team members of Stockfish?

I would exclude we will come back to Glaurung name, perhaps it will be changed in the future (although at the moment I don't see any reason to do it) but in that case we will change probably to something else.
Just to summarize a bit what happened: when I started to work on Glaurung sources I had to change the name because I was doing what technically is called a 'fork' of a GPL program, namely take a GPL program and modify it indipendently from upstream (Tord in this case), so when I released the 1.0 I was forced to use a different name because at that time Glaurung was still alive and kicking.
After few months Joona joined me and we toghter released Stockfish 1.4
After that Tord, very kindly and with our great joy, chooses to stop development of Glaurung and joined us to work on Stockfish. He did also more then this, he publicy stated that for him Stockfish and not Glaurung 2.2 was the base code on which to improve. After a while we released 1.5.1 where we are now.

So a fish connected to Norway and Italy?
When I first saw the name I thought it was somehow a play on Rybka. I questioned the originality of having another fish-like name.
