----------------------HAPPY NEW YEAR !
to everybody!

I too, wish you, and everybody a Happy New Year!
It is simply the beginning of the new year according to the sun based calender.
I really have little to do with it, living in Israel, and being of the Jewish faith, we consider Rasosh Hashono to be the the new year for all humans.
But I was once in a nice appartment in London on new years eve, and at midnight there was a wonderful and massive display of fireworks (firecrackers in Amertican?), out of my window, not too far away, within view, together with very happy new year wishes on the radio. I was by nyself in that appartment, so I could savour the whole feel of it, and I must say, it seems that people in London (UK) are filled with good will at that time, and there is a contagious feeling of fresh hope and happiness in life.
We have this every Rosh Hashono, which is around September time, but there is never any harm in a renewel of good will and fresh hope and wishing all fellow humans a good year!
[For questioning-Jews reading this, BTW, normally whatever I write in public, has a basis for it, in very authentic Jewish scources, as I would not knowingly ever write anything against the Torah, even by a hairsbreadth].
