Democratic and Anti-censorship nominations

Post by slobo »

I've just nominated two people for the CCC moderation team:

Damir Desevac and
Clare Marie Benedicto.

I was obliged to do it considering the current situation where
- Swaminathan
- Alexander Schmidt
- Dr. Wael Deeb

have not yet accepted their nominations.

Today is the last day for nominations and we have no time to wait anymore.

What will be our team now?

If Dr Hyatt changes his mind, and accepts the nomination, our team will be:

1. Dr Robert Hyatt
2. Jeremy Bernstein
3. Damir Desevac

However, if Dr Hyatt declines the nomination, as he informed me, our team will be:

1. Jeremy Bernstein
2. Damir Desevac and
3. Clare Marie Benedicto

I've been expecting until the last moment that
- Swaminathan
- Alexander Schmidt
- Dr. Wael Deeb
accept their nominations. So far, they did not accept it, and we cannot wait anymore. Now, I would ask them to decline their nominations, and withdraw from the electoral process, so that our team has more chances to win.

I fully agree.
I have just accepted my nomination, but nobody should vote for me if any of the teams above is available.

One shouts much against the censure - However it often obliges us to have some fine spirit.

Prohibited gives savour, and the censure gives the talent.

I believe you have better chance of getting elected than them so why would you rather that members vote for them?

You have my vote mainly for offering that unique feature of counting partial credit moves in ChessGUI ;-)

I have not take him in the team because I found

D - Matthias Gemuh

in the nomination list.

Matthias did not accept his nomination.

He may have changed his mind and sent email to admin to put (A) next to his name.

Perhaps, but I cannot change my mind after calling Clare Marie Benedicto to complete the team. I had to act immediately because it was the last moment to form the team.

Hi Swami,
I don't want to be mod if there are other people to stop the CCC from being hijacked.
Any 3 candidates from our side can win. We need only 3, not 4, not 5.
Cheers,
Matthias.
