In the last hour, there were reports of several members being banned in a thread that's now been deleted. What's going on, mods? If this is really happening, was it really necessary to start heavily cracking down 2 days before the moderation team changes?

I too am asking the same question.
Shall all those who openly supported my election viewpoint be banned before I take over.
Deleting threads about the bannings is a _very_ big mistake.
Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

If this is so,I suspect that some of the nominated mods have inner information about the election primary results and can't wait to preceed with their idiotic actions....
If I have to contact the chairman of this forum and make a solid sponsorship,I will do it for the good of this respectful community to clean it from the insects that are staritng to bite within
I will not allow this forum to transform to something pathetic like the Exactachess forum with two members registered and the two of them are mods....

I don't think CCC moderators are involved in bannings.
Greg Simpson just posted in the forum help and suggestion that CTF Mods, specifically Christopher Conkie issued such ban.

you may move the threads, but the timing of these bannings demands that at least one thread discusses the issue in main CCC forum.

the point of moving the thread is not to hide anything..MatthiasMatthias Gemuh wrote:Hi Steve,Steve B wrote:Hi Jeremysockmonkey wrote:In the last hour, there were reports of several members being banned in a thread that's now been deleted. the discussion involves around account deactivation's which is not a Computer Chess Topic
The Help Forum is exactly the place for the discussion
any one can easily access the help forum and i don't see why anyone need assume that the CCC mods are eager to delete anything
in fact we have been criticised for not deleting enough
this is my opinion speaking as one moderator
