Clarification requested

Post by Albert Silver »

Hi,

I am COMPLETELY confused.

Bob, Steve, and Dann have claimed that the reinstatement of the Ippo links was because there was no proof the code had been taken from Rybka 3, and Vas's claims were insufficient. Yet, Bob posted, as if this were the oldest news in the world, that the original Ippo guys CLAIMED to have taken their code from Rybka 3.

Could this be explained please?

Where is the source that original Ippolito creators claimed to have disassembled Rybka 3??

Show me link, source etc. I have seen/heard nowhere about such claims. I thought they don't speak english at all, and instead communicate in their own native language as evident from whatever they've posted so far.

I think that everyone on all sides of the issue have had some confusion and Bob is probably no exception. Just letting it be is the best policy right now. No need to start new battles.

Yes. One can claim anything. Vas claimed the code was copied. The mystery authors supposedly told Vas they decompiled Robo*. It all came from Vas. This is not news. My original "thought" was mistakenly about Strelka, which did claim to be reverse-engineered from Rybka 1 beta.

So, nothing of any substance so far.

I probably mixed up the claim from Vas about getting emails, with the original strelka decompilation which was acknowledged.
