MaxMSP seems a nice tool to design and tune an evaluation function, i.e. blending of a Sigmoid function to scale features from game phases. Or to patch some new eval features ;-)

Definitely. On a more prosaic level, I'm working on a GUI/UCI host which runs inside of Max and gives you patcher/programming-level access to most of the information output from the engine and from the GUI (board layout, move success, PV, MPV and statistics). It's kind of cool, and if there's anyone who feels like playing with it in it's current alpha state, I'd like to hear from you.
