I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.

Brilliant engine entry, Peter.Peter Skinner wrote:http://www.cctchess.com
Rybka and Stockfish seem to be missing. I hope the rules will be made lenient to allow authors to be present once in a long while as opposed to not being there at all.
Good luck organizing. Will there be blitz event as well? I recall that was the most fun.

I've sent an email to Sherif Khater anyway. I hope he offers to operate and the one of the Stockfish authors would show up online once in a very long while.swami wrote:Brilliant engine entry, Peter.Peter Skinner wrote:http://www.cctchess.com

Who wants to be missed out from an interesting competition? I don't think anybody would.

And like I said.. all the big dogs wait for the last second before they register to eat

Why does there have to be drama associated with tournament registration (bigboys waiting until the last minute)?
Here's an idea: have registration occur in a 3 hour window.
And to get some payback, make sure the registration server is unavailable until 2 hours after the registration start.

Lukas Kullberg said on Rybka forum that he or his machine was not available this weekend and that he did not think Rybka would play. I doubt if the Rybka team would enter hardware that they have not tested, Vas own smaller cluster that I believe he used in the Mundial tournament is probably busy too with his own testing of Beta Rybka 4. So I don't think they will enter at the last moment, they probably wait for a better occasion, with a more polished product.

Vas asked Lukas if he wanted to play in CCT12, and Lukas said that he was doing maintenance on the cluster or something like that.Eelco de Groot wrote:Lukas Kullberg said on Rybka forum that he or his machine was not available this weekend and that he did not think Rybka would play. Also, it wouldn't look good if Rybka lost a game in this tough field. Cluster Sjeng, i9 Shredder, now Deep Junior......

I think Rybka is afraid they would have to play against The Baron again.
I'm rooting for Richard Pijl this time, the team is always well prepared and Arturo is one of the best opening specialists. It would have been fun to see them have another go against the Rybka cluster, I only know how they played against Rybka in Leiden but I believe the last two occasions of their games there were both draws!
