CCT12: Registration Closed!

Post by Peter Skinner »

Hello everyone,

Registration is now closed for CCT 12.

A final list of participants can be seen here.

We have an even number of entrants (Yay!) so I won't have to enter something else to get around a bye.

The times on the website are correct and up to date, so please make sure you double check to make sure you arrive on time.

It is free to obtain a FICS account to observe the game and kibitz with the authors, and as usual, all conversation for the tournament will happen in channel 64.

Good luck to all who entered.

I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.

No Rybka, Stockfish or Fritz too bad. However it should be an interesting tournament.

Fritz is not participating for a long time now and Rybka's author has chickened out it seems....

You seem to get a real kick out of repeatedly casting slurs on the Rybka author. Personally I don't think it's acceptable.

Disappointed, but not surprised
Graham.

Nothing wrong with that....I only say that he has calculated his chances and realized that there is a big possibility not to win this event so he backed down....it's true and you know it....it will be a bad marketing sign for the upcoming Rybka 4 release....
Excuses like I have no time or there is no available hardware can easily be told to my parrot although I doubt that he'll take them for granted....

I am not at all a fan of the Rybka Cloud thing and the clone or not clone issue is rather confusing and as yet unsettled....BUT in the few private dealings I have had with Vas that would fall under customer service, he has been nothing BUT exemplary so as of now, I look forward to purchasing Rybka 4! (and even there I am worried he won't have the human and/or dynamic versions!)

But again based on my dealings with him he seems like a stand up guy!

I agree and the only thing I have against him is not releasing the Rybka 3+ as he promised....Decent and correct relationships with people has always been a main issue in my life and work....
