Btw, what is wrong with others making money from my work? Making money is just one form of enjoying the use of it. As long as it does not interefere with others enjoying the program in their way, why should it bother me? I made the program freely available for the very purpose that others could enjoy it...

It shouldn't need support as long as you pay your fees on time. Anyone can have their software registered in the Free Software Fundation. Just go to the site, create a profile and choose the plan you prefer. The normal plan costs only US$250/year, though free commercial software developers pay $500. For each program you want to declare free there is a small $15/month administration fee, though it is $30 if you are declaring free commercial software. It is less if you declare more than 5 free programs though, so take that into consideration when using the Free Software Fundation.

So you mean that some of us will give the programs away for free, while others will try to sell the same or similar programs for big money?
If they succeed, they are obviously well worth their money!
I don't think it is easy at all.
It is not easy but why it have to be
Sometimes taking or correcting 1 or 2 small ideas in the program improves it drastically. It can be your ideas.
