stockfish 1.6.3 is not an uci engine

i get this error when i try to load stockfish 1.6.3 on chessassistant 7

stockfish 1.6.3 does not support uci format.

no problem with rybka 2.3.2a and robbolito on CA7

will be there an update for this for stockfish ??

Well, Stockfish is certainly uci. It must be a problem with CA7, unless your Stockfish binary is bad.

If you start Stockfish from a command line, what output do you see? And what happens if you then enter the command

stockfish is not corrupted. i can load stockfish on arena and fritz.

ca7 must support old uci standard.


no problem, stockfish can make an easy update for ca7 support.
