Re: Poll for Computer Chess Recognition
As far as testers go, there are many who deserve mention far more than I do - in no particular order - Guenther Simon, Leo Dijksman, Olivier Deville just to name a few (and there are many many more).
Remember that there are many more who probably prefer to remain out of the limelight, but have been doing valuable beta-testing for years.
This is a tricky area to give credit to some in, yet not others.
Cheers,
Graham.

Dedicated Unit (Richard Lang, Ed Schroder, Johan de Koning, ...)
Well Lang certainly deserves top billing for the dedicated units due to his long dominanace in the field
De Koning is not so clear to me
his engines have appeared in only 4 dedicated units:
Saitek Risc 2500
Mephisto Montreux
Tasc R30
Tasc R40
However his Tasc Engines (the King Version 2.2 and 2.5)were the strongest engines ever included in a dedicated computer until the recent release of the Phoenix Resurrection dedicated units in 2005...
Toss Up Regards
